Bursitis

- It may hurt more when you move it or press on it
- It may look swollen and red
Common Causes
- Most commonly caused by repetitive motions or positions that put pressure on the bursae around a joint. Injury, infection, or underlying rheumatic conditions can also be a cause.
Treatment Information
Resting the joint and protecting it from further trauma. Applying ice and taking pain relievers. In some cases, a corticosteroid injection may be needed.
